The increase in children suffering with mental health issues since the beginning of the Pandemic has been a significant concern for all schools.

Over 95% of schools have witnessed increased levels of pupil anxiety since the start of the School year. With school staff being at the frontline of supporting these pupils, Children’s Mental Health Week 2022 is a timely reminder of the challenges faced and Place2Be have many resources available to all schools to help support schools across the UK.

Childrens Mental Health Week

This year’s theme of ‘Growing Together’ can encourage learners to consider steps they can take to help their own wellbeing, from getting out into nature to getting crafty.

Many schools have activities planned for students over the week; these may include virtual assemblies, discussions and hints and tips for managing or maintaining mental wellbeing.

Many resources are also available for parents to help them support their children and themselves.
